I purchased a Discovery 4 from Woodside Garage on December 4th, 2024, and the experience was exceptional. Particularly as I was buying online whilst overseas I immediately felt confident in parting with a holding deposit and was very pleased when I collected the vehicle, it was in mint condition.
I have since learnt that this family-run business, led by Mark and James, specialises in sourcing high-quality used Land Rovers, they were incredibly knowledgeable and honest, providing transparent and expert advice that made the purchasing process straightforward and stress-free. I called James regarding a LR Disco 4 he had in stock that I was interested in. James then shared the fact he had a few more in stock that met my specification. The following day I visited and James had close to a dozen LR Disco 4's of various specification, which I then short listed down to 4 and then 2. I have still not found the right vehicle at the right price, but James was very helpful in sharing his knowledge and experience of this complex vehicle. Had my Range for a few months ( not purchased from here ) went to start it yesterday and battery was completely dead. Manged to get it jump started and called the guys at Woodside Garage who said they are massively busy but bring it up and they will try get it sorted.. didn't have the battery i needed in stock but told me they would have it ready for the next day... the next day I call and it's all sorted and for a better price than I expected too! My low coolant level warning light came on while driving so I contacted the guys at Woodside Garage and they said that although they were busy, to pop in and they would have a quick look.

Well that quick look turned into a very quick diagnosis of the problem, sourcing of the failed component from the local motor factors and a 1 day turnaround of the repair including replacement of track arms that had been flagged as advisories on the recent MOT.

Mark and the team are polite, helpful, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Having always used Land Rover main dealers for services etc, I will now be using Woodside Garage for all my future servicing needs.

This is my first time using this garage for Range Rover service but it will certainly not be my last! Upon my initial 'phone call on Friday late afternoon I was treated in a very friendly, courteous and EXTREMELY knowledgeable manner and I was kindly invited to come in on Monday. Upon my arrival, the problem was immediately diagnosed, the rare part was actually sourced off the shelf from the stock they keep to save customers from having to wait while they order one, and my car was then dismantled, the new part installed, car reassembled and within no time at all I driving home all done! REALLY LOVELY PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH!

Just bought a Land Rover Discovery 4 from these guys and although it is early days I am very pleased with it. Dare I say that these guys actually undersell themselves. Yes, they are Land Rover specialists who clearly know the marque well, but they are also enthusiasts with a passion for LR products who spend their spare time enjoying them. I think this matters a great deal, because the standards they have around preparation of the cars they sell is beyond that of most other dealers (of any brand) I have encountered, purely because they want the cars to be the very best they can be for their new custodians. I viewed the car unprepared and agreed to buy. James handed me the keys and left me to spend as long as I wanted looking around and driving the car and then Mark assured me it would be 100% mechanically sorted upon collection, but the list of things they subsequently attended to was extensive and shone a light on the lengths these guys go to in order to ensure a car is ready for its new owner. They also attended to various cosmetic imperfections, without telling me they would do so, because that is just what they do. New MOT, full service, with all fluids and various new parts fitted, giving total peace of mind that they have done everything in their power to ensure 12 months of trouble-free motoring lie ahead. It might not turn out that way, but it sure ain't going to be for the want of trying. Needless to say we will be servicing our new Disco here 12 months from now!

Where do I start? Normally I read all these positive reviews and automatically was very sceptical about how accurate they are. When something seems too good to be true it usually is! I emailed about a 2015 discovery got a call back and spoke to James about it because at the time there were no pictures on their website or the advertisement I spotted it on originally, so i asked for some pictures, I was told they would be on later that evening so kept checking, as promised pictures appeared! phoned James back day after to say I was interested, naturally I tried to get something off the price as with most land rover's there was bound to be something no matter how small wrong with it that I would need to spend money on. Surprisingly I was told no! They don't do money off the price is the price! Shocked by this told him I would think about it, but I had fell in love with the car, explaining to James I had a two and a half hour journey can you go round the car and show me the bad points (very few) he did and was over critical (very rare for a car sales person)
I agreed to buy and set a date for collection.
Turned up today to collect the car, I CANNOT EXPRESS ENOUGH how good this place is! Not only did they get their detailer in to put right some of the very minor cosmetic things that were wrong with it, when I say wrong I am very fussy! Without me having to ask but also it was thoroughly gone through mechanically changing somethings that probably didn't really have to be changed? Full service and mot the car was absolutely spotless could not fault them in any way! Smooth transaction so stress free a pleasure to do business with! Cannot recommend them enough! If I could give 10 stars I would Both Mark and James are Genuine top Blokes who really do go above and beyond your normal sales service!

Went with my friend to get his car looked at and they diagnosed and then fixed all in about ten minutes! It was an air valve issue and they explained what it was etc. They also filled up his screenwash! Very very impressed!!!!!

They are knowledgeable, understanding, polite but above all honest. I travelled around 6 hours to come to view and purchase my car and it was described completely accurately with no nasty surprises.

Woodside Garage is one of those rare cases of a genuine honest to God family run business. Cannot recommend them enough. If you're after a Land Rover of any kind, Look No Further!

Hi, I purchased a Land Rover Discovery 4 from Woodside Garage. I am over 2.5 hours away so I bought the car over the phone. I was not disappointed and it was everything and more that I expected.
The car is going strong and does not miss a beat.
Call out to James who sold me the car and Mark was there sharing his knowledge of this sort of car. Mark was also very helpful when I had an issue - Mark was able to guide me through and resolve this issue for me.
Overall a very professional outfit, fantastic can do attitude from all staff. If you are thinking about purchasing a Land Rover - speak to these guys - you wont be disappointed.

From the first time I visited their site the team have treated me with a friendly courtesy that enabled us to work together to get me the vehicle that is right for me. They listened to my requirements and didn't try to 'sell' me extras that I didn't want. The vehicle I have was very well prepared and presented and a courteous explanation of the vehicle before I drove off was appreciated.
I did have a problem the stop start function but a phone call to the workshop which was answered by a knowledgeable chap advised me to call in. I did so a couple of days later and the solution was identified and rectified there and then. Again courteous, easy

I bought a used Land Rover from James and Mark in April this year. The vehicle is 10 years old, I live 250 miles from Bedford.
I've had a few minor problems with the vehicle and the guys at Woodside diagnosed them via the telephone and have repaired them when I was next near Bedfordshire.
They are honest, trustworthy and very professional, qualities sadly missing from similar garages in my area. I can not recommend them highly enough.

Woodside Garage is a 394 mile round trip from me - It's worth it. I bought a fantastic example of a 2013 Discovery 4 from Mark and James in March 2021. The vehicle is superb. It was literally showroom condition inside and had a full LRSH. The team at Woodside Garage did a very, very comprehensive service on it prior to collection and it drives like a brand new car. I have driven about 2,000 miles in the first 4 weeks of ownership and each one has been an absolute pleasure. I'm even managing to average 35/36mpg sometimes so they must have done something special in the servicing!

The customer service was great. Both James and Mark were patient with me, taking the time to talk to me, answer my questions, make helpful recommendations and guide me through the selection and purchase over several weeks.

Hands down the best car buying experience I have had in 20 years: a combination of good customer service, honesty, knowledgeable advice, quality car stock and fair prices.

Absolutely fantastsic. Took 4yr old car in for a Restricted performance diagnostic.... They did a full check on the car for an incredibly reasonable price and could have charged me pretty well for repairs. They went over and beyond referenced all info concerning vehicle. They gave me some very important information and said, go back to Dealer they owe ya. Still fighting the good fight, car has been with land rover for a week, but the said information should very well leave a good bill for LR. Turns out they have missed a few relevant bulletins through out my sdv8's life... Very very knowledgable chaps trust me, cant go wrong awesome service. I usually take my Range Rover Vogue SDV8 MY15 to the main dealer for servicing/MOT/everything but after being let down by my main dealer (no names mentioned) on previous issues, thought I'd search around for a local Land Rover specialist. And this is what these guys are: Land Rover specialists. Being skeptical about non-dealer garages and extra precious about my vehicle, I searched around quite a bit.
Mark and John and all the staff I spoke with and met on site were incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. Whilst carrying out a 'dealer standard' service etc., (1) they were better than the main dealer and (2) they were also less than half the price! What more can you ask?! Thanks so much. I've always used Land Rover main dealerships in the past, for my servicing, but over the years the standards have dropped dramatically and customer service levels have fallen through the floor. The saying "˜vote with your feet' could never be truer, so I decided to try a specialist for the 40k service on my 2018 V8 Range Rover.
Woodside Garage, from the initial telephone call to providing the service, couldn't have been any better! On inspection, they had even greased all door hinges and locks and the car drives like a dream....
Couple this to a financial saving - it's a no-brainer!

I only saw the car on the internet I didn't actually look at it in person before buying it but when I got to the garage to pick it up the car was exactly how they described it on the internet.. Had a further steering problem with my Defender after having two new rear shock absorbers fitted. This did not solve the vague rear end steering. Several times of taking it back to the garage that I have used for many years, they still could not find the fault. So I decided to look elsewhere. I called Woodside Garage and spoke to a chap called Mark who was very helpful and obviously knowledgeable with Land Rover Defenders. Mark took time to test drive the vehicle and found the fault quickly. Vehicle was booked in and repaired whilst I waited. Steering is perfect. Staff were very friendly and made me a nice brew too! Top service!
